Good for my kiddo

I bought the Reading Horizons Discovery program for my son a few weeks ago. He's been struggling with reading, and this seemed like a good fit. It's pretty straightforward to use, and he actually enjoys the lessons. I was worried it would be a fight to get him to do it, but so far, so good. The lessons are short enough to keep his attention. It's made a noticeable difference already.

Detailed review of Discovery At-Home

I purchased the Reading Horizons Discovery At-Home program about two months ago for my 7-year-old who was really struggling with decoding. Ordering was simple on their website, and the digital access was immediate. The physical materials, including the Student Workbooks and Decodable Readers, arrived within 5 days, which was reasonable. Setup of the software was also easy; I just followed the instructions in the email. My son uses it on our desktop computer. The lessons are structured well, starting with basic sounds and building up. I particularly like the explicit instruction on blending and segmenting words. The software tracks his progress, which is helpful, and the games keep him engaged. Customer support was responsive when I had a question about lesson pacing, getting back to me within a day. He's showing much more confidence now, and his reading fluency has definitely improved. It's a comprehensive program, though it does require consistent parent involvement for younger kids.

Amazing reading program!

I absolutely love Reading Horizons Elevate for my older daughter! It's been incredible for her reading. The lessons are engaging, and the systematic approach really clicked with her. I've seen such a big improvement in her fluency and confidence. I'm telling all my friends who have kids struggling. We will definitely be renewing our subscription next year!

Solid program, needs app

We've been using Reading Horizons At-Home for a few months now, and overall, I'm quite satisfied. The content of the Discovery program is very thorough, and I appreciate the phonics-based method. My daughter has made good progress. However, I wish they had a dedicated iPad app instead of just the browser version. It would make it much easier for her to use independently. Delivery of the workbooks was fine, no issues there.

Software good, shipping slow

Got the Discovery Software. Program works well. Physical materials arrived late, took 7 days to get here. Support was helpful when I called.
